Does the mod really keep my pedal’s true sound intact?

    Absolutely, I wouldn’t have it any other way!  Some people tend to say they were made without an output buffer because of the qualities it gives them, and I would have to say they are correct. But when the issue comes to consistency and compatibility there is only one thing to do... add a buffered output section.  With a lot of time and extensive testing in studios to amphitheaters, the specific design of this circuit led to the ability to use your overdrive, have it sound exactly how it is supposed to, and play nice with your other pedals.

I noticed the toggle switches are in different positions?

    Due to the design changes in version updates the internal layout changed, thus we have to use the most logical and functional space for that exact model.

How does the SUCK knob work?

    When the knob is full CCW no change is applied.  As you turn CW the amount of capacitance between the pedal’s output and buffer circuit’s input is increased creating a natural roll-off and softness to the high frequencies that the buffer will naturally make audible.  This allows you to achieve the sound and response that the pedal always had, while now being totally decoupled from following pedals.

Does the mod stay on at all times?

    No.  The mod is directly linked to the overdrive circuit, so your pedal will still function as normal and be true bypassed when off.

I don’t like PayPal.  Can I send you money?

    Absolutely, though digital transactions are easiest, we can accept MO’s and cashier’s checks.

Do you ship internationally?

How long is the turn-around time?

    With the current tour schedule booming, Build time is around 3-5 weeks and then we ship back to you.  New pedal orders go out quicker and sometimes instantly if we have them pre-built and stocked.  Email to check on current availability if in a time crunch.

What is the warranty?

    Parts and labor are both covered for 2 years from the date of purchase.  This excludes damage due to misuse, abuse, or tampering.  We design and build to last, so if you have an issue after the warranty period please email us.

Do you do repairs?

    In the unlikely situation your pedal needs a repair we can absolutely help.  If the repair is outside the warranty we will email you with a repair quote and move from there.

Will this mod work with my ____ pedal?

    A compatibility list for every pedal made with an expression port would take countless hours and money to get hands on research.  Instead much time was taken in researching many of the most popular and used FX and their specific requirements.  The result was the ability to universally cover a range of territory with one expression pedal.  If your pedal requires a variable control voltage or a 10k variable resistance then the “Expression Mod” will work for you.  Taper type and tip/ring polarity are all user selectable features to match your EX-S/ EX-ULT to your pedal’s needs.

Can I control two pedals simultaneously with the EX-ULT?

    No.  The footswitch allows you to switch back and forth between which pedal the EX-ULT controls.

What about using a TS pedal and TRS pedal in Dual Mode?

    Unfortunately this is not possible as the the Expression Mode switch is universal, so you need to either use two TS pedals or two TRS pedals.

Is there a chance I could short out my pedal if I have the polarity switch on the wrong setting?

    No way!  Our expression pedals are designed with a high power protection resistor to protect your pedal’s power from ever directly grounding out.

What will this mod do for me?

    You will have a clearer, punchier, and more defined sound as your pickups will be able to sound the way they were supposed to.  In addition to the smoothest custom taper, use your Tuner Out with zero tonal consequences, and enjoy longer lasting durability.

Does it color my guitar’s tone?

    This circuit has been specifically built with complete transparency in mind.  Your guitar’s natural tone will not be EQ’ed or enhanced.  We just allow you to take off the blanket that has been smothering your tone.

Will different tuners’ qualities affect my signal to amp?

    Absolutely not, as each output is independent and isolated from each other and have zero effect on one another.

What if I like to run my volume pedal post gain?

    This works just fine, though any pedal that is on before the PM-1 will become a more prominent factor on your guitars signal.

Are there any differences between the full-size and Jr VP?

    As far as the mod is concerned they will function 100% identical and have the same internals.  While the Jr is the more popular because of it’s small size I personally find the full-size VP to offer smoother and more controlled travel due to the increased mass, larger pivot bearings, and longer foot plate.
